That’s working as intended. After checking in the movie should get marked watched on the next sync with trakt (not sure though if trakt sets it watched after the run time has passed, so the check-in has completed, or immediately).
That what I thought too, but the movies don’t get marked as watched even after multiple syncs and a few days later.
Just to be safe: but they are watched on trakt? As a first measure, try to disconnect, then connect SeriesGuide to trakt.tv again. This will trigger a data merge. Let me know if this continues to be a problem afterwards!
I checked in to It Chapter Two on Monday and today I checked in to “I am Mother”. Both show as checked in on trakt.
I disconnected and reconnected trakt twice now, and the movies never get marked as watched in seriesguide.
After reconnecting there are several steps of syncing with trakt. Trakt movies seems to have been synced, after this trakt ratings is synced and after that the error from the below screenshot shows up. Although tvdb shouldn’t have anything to too with watched movies on trakt, could this be the culprit?
The TheTVDB step failing should not affect trakt movie sync. I’ll have to try this on a test device, so thanks for the details! Maybe I introduced a subtle bug (though the trakt movie sync code has last changed end of May…) or there has been a silent API change at trakt.tv.
@Stefan_Schweigl I reproduced the issue and a fix is available in 51-beta4, rolling out now. Let me know if the new movies are added to your Watched list and there are no side effects.
If all goes well I will release the fix for SeriesGuide 50 as well (probably come Wednesday).
Background: when syncing with trakt or Cloud, new movies not in your watchlist, collection or watched list were not added in some circumstances.
