# A setting to set the release date as watched date default

Can you add an option in the settings to set the release date as the default watched date? That way, when a movie or episode is marked as watched, it gets stored with the release date on Trakt.

Another trakt user here. Trakt had this setting in v2 before. could you please add this setting in settings.

@uwe could you please add this option on the next update? most of the other apps already have this feature.

Voted. Definitely a nice to have feature. I don’t always watch a show I came across in the year 2000
