Hi 1st of all sorry for my English.
I know that shows series etc info are retrieved from TMDB.
And displayed for example as S02E04

```auto
But some shows (not all) also display the episode number based on total
for example let's say a show has 12 episodes/season
and it's currently on season 02 eps 05
```

So, 1st season
S01E01 - S01E12

2nd season
S02E05 this being the _17th_ eps in total so far
(12 from 1st Season + 5 from 2nd)

That is what I expcted, displaying _the eps number_ in this case 17.
For every eps as some shows aren’t divided in seasons.

As I said I know this can be achieved because some shows display them,
but some don’t and some have stopped displaying after some point.

I have a show displaying correctly everything until season 5.
S05E13 this being eps 101 at that point.

But from S05E14 → the number 102 isn’t displayed, and this error continues
to all next episodes.

This happens a lot for anime. Also it’s usefull to know how many episodes
there are or that you’ve watched without doing any math having
to check how many there are for each season. Even some show have irregular
number of episodes per season.

Thanks for reporting! You are referring to absolute episode numbers. These are no longer supported since switching to TMDB as a data source. They might still exist on some episodes if you have added the show before the switch away from TheTVDB.

TMDB has so called episode groups for some shows, notably anime, which sometimes provide episodes in absolute order. But I’m not sure if and how I support this in SeriesGuide.
