Are you stilling working on the version for the android tv boxes, I have been having issues, it seems whenever it writes to storage it crushes to the desktop, when it updating, every time you make a setting change. The program works fine on my phone, and tablet, but have the same problem on both my tv boxes ( one is android version 5 and the other is 7.
Sorry, there is no official version for Android TV. You can sideload the app, but I can’t guarantee that it works.
In this case this may be a permissions issue. I’m not sure if those can be manually changed on Android TV? Also try a newer or older version. Get all of them at https://github.com/UweTrottmann/SeriesGuide/releases
