A few days ago i noticed that the IMDB extension is missing. I still have Web Search and YouTube Search, but that’s it. When I try to add it back through the customize extensions option, I see it on the list, but I don’t know what to do to add it.

Thanks for the uodate. It’s a bummer for sure, but at least now I understand. Looking forward to hearing how this continues to evolve. The workaround I’ve been using is to click in web search and then IMDB tends to be the top link which will open my app.

What a bizarre policy from Google!! It must affect hundreds of apps. Let’s hope that common sense will prevail and it will be overturned!

If I uninstall the Play Store version in order to install the previous version from Obtainium, to get around this issue, will my settings and history be preserved?

No (settings can currently not be backed up, your data could get restored from backup files or SeriesGuide Cloud). But what you can try is to turn off auto-update of the app in Play Store (tap the three dots when viewing its details page) and install future updates via Obtainium. But I’m not sure, yet, what happens to active subscriptions in that case.
