Due to an unexpected change at Trakt servers (sync/watched/shows no returning "specials" episodes ? (season number = 0) · Issue #792 · trakt/trakt-api · GitHub), SeriesGuide currently doesn’t sync special episodes with your Trakt profile. Thanks for your reports!
I’m looking into what else might be affected and will release an update (including to the technically unsupported Android 5 version).
