How do I get rid of this seemingly nonexistent entry? Under settings, it says…
Sync & Update - TMDB - Failed to update movie (‘A Shot in a Starry Night: The Case of Vincent Van Gogh’, TMDB id 1012050
I even reinstalled it. No luck.

Hey! Remove this movie from all lists (watchlist, collection, watched). Then the warning should disappear.
It’s nowhere to be found, and it’s still there. I removed it a long time ago, because the movie was never actually available.
Maybe try to sort by title and look for a movie with that title?
Yeah, already tried everything, including that.
I have the same issue, I noticed that happened while syncing Ratings
and it is nowhere to be found in trakt
I did finally figure it out. You really have to look through the Trakt website, and find it. Not an easy thing to do, when that happens. But it’s always the Trakt site that fucked up.
My issue is about a movie it looks like It was removed from TMDB.
Sync & Update - TMDB - Failed to update movie ('Justice League: Dawn of Apokolips', TMDB id 484855).
In trakt search is nowhere to be found. https://trakt.tv/search?query=Justice%20League%3A%20Dawn%20of%20Apokolips and if I check my History in the site and order by name the movie is not shown there either. Both sites TMDB and Trakt removed the movie, the movie does exist in IMDB Justice League: Dawn of Apokolips (Vídeo 2017) - IMDb
I think I rated before it was removed and my rating still persisted.
So I wont be able to remove it using the UI. I will check if I can do it using API.
Exactly what mine said, and every time, I ended up finding it marked in Trakt. There are some apps that cause this. Like Flixoid and Film Plus. It is extremely difficult to find these, when it happens. You have to make sure no other apps are running in the background, which could cause it again, until you find it and remove it. And it will keep happening, until you figure out which app is doing it. Believe me, or not. I’m just telling you what I found out. It’s exactly the same problem, and has nothing to do with TMDB or IMDB. It’s like these don’t exist at Trakt when you look for them, but I guarantee it’s coming from Trakt. Most of the time, this would happen right after I found several movies that I know I would never have added. As if it just added someone else’s to my list. Now, I figured that out, and I just never log those apps back into Trakt. Problem gone.
If you’re using multiple apps, connected to Trakt, they will all be corrupted by any bad entries. The warning came up in SeriesGuide. Otherwise, I never would have figured it out. It will be extremely hard to find on the Trakt site, but that’s where you’re going to find it. And, you do have to use something like App Killer, to make sure no other apps are feeding it back to Trakt, while you’re trying to get rid of it. The biggest challenge is indeed finding the god damn movie on Trakt, as it will not show up in a search or your normal collection/list. You will most likely find it stuck in the watch list, even if you never use the list, but only collection.
Thanks for your details! Someone else emailed about this and this has frequently come up in emails. Once there is time I hope to make it easier to resolve this, like by providing a button to open or delete the affected movie.
